Rockstar moves GTA VI release to November 19, 2026

On November 6, 2025, Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto VI would release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. This remains the current official date at our September 2, 2026 review.

The update replaced the previous May 26, 2026 date. Rockstar said the additional time would be used to finish the game to its expected level of polish. We do not infer any further schedule change from analyst commentary or unsourced reports.

Rockstar continues to list PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC date appears on the official GTA VI page, so our PC status remains Not announced. The release date also does not establish one worldwide unlock hour. The countdown uses a documented neutral noon-UTC convention until Rockstar publishes precise regional timing.
